I just started "Halloween" from Wood Songs with my Orff Ensemble this afternoon. It's going to be a challenge, but they really liked it! Having the CD example really helps!

Addictive! Mesmerizing! The music of Brent Holl grabs your interest and attention is such a way that it makes it impossible to resist! My Orff ensemble cheered when I told them that I had ordered another of his books. You know you have a winner when teachers drop by during their planning period to listen to what the children are playing!

His arrangements are simple enough to facilitate quick mastery, yet intricate enough to maintain interest of the performers and audience alike. The only drawback is that he doesn't have dozens more books available!
